Off the back of a string of fantastic albums as one half of urban-cool outfit Hil St Soul that included duets with the likes of Pharoahe Monch and Teich O’day, Hilary Mwelwa (aka Hilz) has branched out on her own with a great new album called Bring Back The Love.
Requiring a new home to reflect Hilz going solo, FreshStone teamed up with Hilz and her management company to get her new site up and running at hilzmusic.com in time for the album launch on 28th August 2011. Fans can listen to music, keep up to date with latest news, tour dates and video releases, including Hilz performing with Terence Blanchard after she was specifically invited to play for director Spike Lee.
Echoes Magazine has described Hilz as ‘a genuine cult artist’ and it’s not hard to see why, with Mojo calling her new album “an infectious slice of lovers rock.”
